The cost of defending your criminal case will vary depending upon the complexity of the case. We operate throughout the whole of Scotland and have defended prosecutions the length and breadth of the country. Our fee structure is agreed in advance and can either take the form of a fixed fee arrangement or an hourly rate. Please note that fees are not recoverable in Scotland.
Legal aid allows you to receive funding for legal advice and representation. The help that you can get will depend on a number of factors, namely; the nature of the charges you are facing, whether or not you are in custody and whether you plan to plead guilty or not guilty. Legal aid is available for a wide range of offences and we offer advice on your eligibility for legal aid during your free initial consultation.
